Namascara and Welcome.
Ranebennur Trust is a charity that was started in 2006 by a group of friends, one of whom grew up in a small village in Ranebennur Taluk (district), South India.
It’s a beautiful place – the warmth of the people here is second to none (though perhaps we are a bit biased).
We set up the charity to offer more opportunities to the people of villages and towns in Ranebennur Taluk. We work on an ever-growing range of projects throughout the year.
By providing school uniforms and meals, for example, we hope to encourage more parents to send their children to local schools. Some of these children are now attending university, using funds raised by the trust. Through the money you have raised we have set up adult vocational skills workshops and creches too.
We have a very personal connection and commitment to the area we work in and ensure that 100% of all donations go straight to those who need them.
The Ranebennur Trust is a UK registered charity (number 1117753).
We are very thankful to everyone who turned up – particularly on such a rainy Saturday afternoon. We hope you enjoyed the dancing, food and had a chance to look around the stalls.
We will be posting pictures soon!
